U.M.B.R.E.L.L.A is a group of Vanier College students interested in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer issues, as well as raising awareness about them. Acting as a mixture of a support group, club and all-around resource center, this association of Vanier students is open to all individuals regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The acronym itself stands for United Members Bringing Respect, Engaging, Learning and Loving All, which in essence tries to convey the idea of unity among the diverse Vanier college population and attempt to bring an end to negative things like intolerance and ignorance.
Some basic information about this group can be found at our facebook and twitter accounts, though all people are very much so encouraged to participate in the weekly meetings and activities to learn more about our goals, find out information about key issues or facts or simply talk.
