510-208-VA, Design Studio II
This course encourages students to refine their technical skills and deepen their critical awareness as they engage in a diverse combination of short and evolving semester-long design projects. These may include a book cover, film titles and a magazine layout. Students will learn to creatively engineer complex projects, execute them in a visually effective manner, and critique them in a self-reflexive way using the appropriate terminologies. This process involves the student taking an idea from genesis to completion, with a particular focus on how to creatively and productively develop a creative concept.
