510-207-VA, Drawing Studio II
This second level drawing course will focus on the importance of process in art-making and generating and interpreting creative ideas. Course projects will deal with the methodology, conceptualization and final production of a drawing. Students will build on the language, critical thinking, and techniques developed in their technique prerequisite. They will also work on the conceptual research of an idea, the development of a project proposal, and discern what application, technique, and appropriate strategy best suits each of their creative projectís needs. Finally, students will learn to constantly reflect on the process and rework creative decisions based on constructive criticism.
