420-406-VA, .NET Programming
This course introduces students to a currently-important general programming language, different from the main language they have studied in semesters 1 to 3. Thus the purpose of this course is to teach certain language-specific and advanced features of Microsoft Visual Studio C++, which will best help a graduating student make the transition to serious Microsoft Visual Studio C++ programming in the workplace. It is not intended to teach the whole language. Students will develop and write Microsoft Visual Studio C++ and Microsoft .NET-based applications. At the same time, students will increase their programming maturity by seeing how certain major programming concepts are handled by two different languages.
