This course will provide students with an overview of group and individual life insurance. Students will examine how insurance representatives assess a client’s current financial and insurance situation, develop an insurance needs analysis profile, identify and examine different life insurance products (individual, group, business, life insurance riders), assess the tax consequences of different life insurance choices, explain the importance of wills and mandates, and develop and recommend an individual or group life insurance strategy tailored to meet the client’s needs. This course prepares students for the AMF/CISRO sanctioned exam for Insurance of Persons entitled Life Insurance which is associated with the AMF competency: Recommend individual and group life insurance products adapted to the client’s needs and situation.
