Businesses and individual owners of motor vehicles in Quebec have the obligation to insure against the financial consequences of personal injury and property damage to others caused by the ownership, use or operation of their vehicle. In this course students will examine how motor vehicle insurance works (both personal and commercial) and the products and services offered by public and private insurers in Canada. They will examine various contracts and products available in the damage insurance market and analyze and propose required motor vehicle insurance products for clients. This course prepares students for the AMF sanctioned exam for Damage Insurance Agents or Brokers entitled: 03-412: Recommend personal-lines and commercial-lines automobile insurance products adapted to the client’s needs.
