This course is the studentís introduction to manual architectural drawing. The objective of the course is to develop the necessary manual dexterity and knowledge of drafting fundamentals to create orthographic and pictorial technical drawings freehand and using equipment. Topics covered include: drawing instruments, lettering techniques, line work, scale drawings, simple geometric constructions and dimensioning. Techniques of drawing straight and curved lines, orthographic projections, sectional and pictorial views, architectural conventions for the creation of simple architectural plans, elevations and sections, and title blocks will all be studied.
