This course is primarily designed to acquaint the student with the physical, psychological, and social needs of the hospitalized child at various stages of the child's development. The student must effectively adapt respiratory therapy techniques, pulmonary function testing, and anaesthesia techniques to the child. The student will be applying previously acquired knowledge and perfecting skills toward the successful completion of specific course objectives. Statement Of Competence: Perform neonatal and paediatric respiratory care in a clinical setting.
