Nursing

The Vanier Nursing Program prepares graduates for university education.

Many Vanier Nursing Graduates go on for further study in nursing. Each year our graduates are admitted to baccalaurate programs. Some continue on to obtain their master's and doctoral degrees.

Vanier’s Nursing program is integrated with the McGill University School of Nursing. Students graduating with a DEC in Nursing can complete a Bachelor Degree in Nursing at McGill University in 2 years. Part time studies are also available.

Integrated Bachelor Degree programs in Nursing are also available at the University of Montreal and Laval University.

Several institutions across Canada and the U.S. offer advanced education through distance learning. Students are encouraged to speak to the Nursing Coordinator for current information.

University Visits

Academic Advisors provide information on university programs and admission requirements. They organize visits to Vanier from representatives of Quebec, Canadian and international universities so that students can ask questions directly to university staff.
