MANRICO TEDESCHI
OPERATIC TENOR

Internationally acclaimed Canadian tenor, Manrico Tedeschi, was born in Montreal of Italian parents and his distinguished career of almost 20 years has led him to such famed opera houses as La Scala, Arena di Verona, Berlin Staatsoper, Tetro San Carlo in Lisbon, Hungarian State Opera, La Fenice, Regio in Parma, Regio in Turin, Comunale in Bologna, Carlo Felice in Genoa, Massimo Bellini in Catania, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Opera Marseilles, the Berlin Philharmonie, Munich Gasteig and Carnegie Hall among others.

He has been privileged to have worked with such distinguished artists as Fiorenza Cossotto, Piero Cappuccilli, Carlo Bergonzi, Elena Obratzova, Giuseppe Giacomini, Aprile Millo, Grace Bumbry, Rolando Panerai, Dimitri Hvorotovsky, Cecilia Bartoli, Leo Nucci and Giorgio Zancanaro and with conductors the likes of Riccardo Muti, Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Ghennadij Rhozdezvenskij, Alfredo Silipigni, Mario Bernardi, Robin Stapleton, Guingal, Kellogg, Buckley, Renzetti, Gatti, Arena, Guidarini and Jurovski .

He was also awarded the "Oscar Internazionale della Lirica" award in Milano in 1995 by the great tenor Franco Corelli.
