Gino Rosato attended Vanier College from 1990 to 1994 studying in Architectural Technology. Despite the tremendous success he has known in his career, Gino is the first to acknowledge that he struggled throughout his academic studies. However, with the help of Vanier's dedicated Academic Advisors, Gino was able to successfully complete his DEC.

He began working part time for Ferrari in 1991 and was hired full time in 1997. At Ferrari, Gino worked as as a jack-of-all-trades providing security for seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, catering to sponsors, helping organize the life of team boss Jean Todt, and doing most anything else that slipped between the cracks. While he had a good relationship with Schumacher while working for Ferrari, Rosato also became good friends with Kimi Räikkonen, another of the world's top racers, thanks to their shared passion for hockey.

On October 26, 2009, it was announced at a press conference that Gino has been named Vice-President, Corporate Affairs at Lotus. At the announcement, he spoke about his past experience with Ferrari. "I literally grew up with Ferrari. It was my university. I started at the bottom of the ladder and gradually managed to win the confidence of my superiors like Jean Todt and Dany Bahar. Dany was Senior Vice-President at Ferrari and I had the unique opportunity of working with him for the last three years. We are all aware of Dany’s talent and his outstanding achievements at Red Bull where he developed a winning NASCAR and F1 strategy. He is now CEO at LOTUS and he made me an offer I couldn't refuse! I will be Vice-President of Corporate Affairs for the LOTUS Group. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me.
