Mariateresa Magisano

VANIER MUSIC GRAD IS NOW HIGHLY
SUCCESSFUL OPERA PERFORMER

Vanier alumnus Mariateresa Magisano recently visited us during the Vanier College Foundation's Christmas Fundraiser performance of Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitor". Ms. Magisano had just completed performing the role of Gretel in the Calgary Opera's version of "Hansel and Gretel" in September 2002 and then had repeated her role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni with the New York City Opera in November 2002. Other operas in which she's recently performed include Offenbach's Les Contes D'Hoffmann, Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, Mozart's Così fan Tutte, Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Verdi's Il Trovatore, Janácek's Jenufa, Rossini's La Cenerentola as well as a feature role in the Vancouver Opera's production of Lucia di Lammermooras
