Vanier Science Grad Is Now a Highly Successful Reporter For Global TV
February 4, 2003
Stuart Greer was part of Global’s startup team in September 1997 when the station first went on the air. Prior to that he worked for CJAD, also in Quebec City. His hometown is Chateauguay and his schooling included Howard S. Billings High School, Vanier College (where he dissected sharks and fetal pigs) and McGill University (where he learned the art of deadline extension).
Stuart has had some memorable moments on the job, including being tear-gassed at a St-Jean-Baptiste riot. He is also proud of his coverage and analysis of the legislation that made the “Chanteclair” chicken the official breed of poultry for Quebec. Hockey, skiing, softball and tennis are among Stuart’s favourite sports. He also enjoys music, bubble table hockey and a “certain violent video game”.
