Mr. Normand W. Bernier, Director General of Vanier College, is announcing he will be retiring on July 15th 2016. Mr. bernier began working at Vanier in January 2014.

“For over two years I have had the honour of working as Director General of Vanier College. Since the beginning of my mandate I had the privilege of getting to know the College’s exceptional faculty, staff and managers. Together we worked hard to ensure our students, who remain at the heart of this wonderful institution, continued to receive the best education possible,” said Mr. Bernier.

Mr. Bernier has dedicated more than 40 years of his life to the CEPEGP network. Throughout his career Mr. Bernier served as Director General for CEGEP de Drummondville for eight years. He also served as  Academic Dean at several Cegeps and worked as Director of the University-Milieu liaison service at the Université du Québec in Outaouais. In addition to teaching management at Concordia University he also worked in the areas of finance, human resources at other educational institutions. As well, he served as an external member of various panels for the Commission d’évaluation de l’enseignement collégial (CEEC).  

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who I had the pleasure of working with both at Vanier and throughout the CEGEP network, including my fellow Director Generals.  Vanier is truly a wonderful institution and I am leaving knowing the college is in good hands.  Merci Vanier.  It has been an amazing journey. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of my current and past colleagues happiness, health and success for the future,” said Mr. Bernier.
