Mr. John McMahon, Director General of Vanier College is pleased to announce that Isabelle Delisle has been named Faculty Dean of General Education, Pedagogical Support and Innovation and Learning Commons. Isabelle had been assuming the role of Interim Faculty Dean since July 2017.
“Isabelle is someone who has developed strong pedagogical counselling skills in areas such as educational technology and pedagogical innovation while managing projects at the cutting edge of eLearning. At the same time, she is someone who has been extremely active in the College network through her participation in APQC/Pédagogie collégiale, REPTIC/ITREP and Performa, among others. She brings a diverse amount of experience to the job as well as a vast network and will therefore undoubtedly prove to be a major asset to Vanier,” said Annie-Claude Banville, Academic Dean at Vanier College.
Isabelle, who assumed the role on an interim basis in July 2017, holds a Ph.D. in Biology/Systematics and Evolution from the University of Alberta/Edmonton as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Université Laval/Québec. Prior to taking on the Interim Dean mandate, Isabelle worked as the Coordinator for Vanier’s Pedagogical Support and Innovation office as well as Pedagogical Counsellor for Vanier College, Cégep Lévis-Lauzon and Cégep à distance. Prior to joining the CEGEP network, she was a Biology Professor doing research and teaching courses in her areas of expertise, Genetics and Evolution, at the University of Alberta/Edmonton.
