“I am very pleased to welcome Anne-Marie to Vanier College and I am looking forward to working with her. With close to 15 years of experience in the college network she will definitely be an asset to the College,” said Mr. McMahon.
Ms. Lemay will officially begin working at Vanier in November 2017.
“Anne-Marie will play a key role in terms of developing, updating, revising and structuring our Continuing Education programs, including the Language School, partnerships and international initiatives that fall under her responsibility,” said Annie-Claude Banville, Academic Dean at Vanier College.
Anne-Marie Lemay holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Université Laval. Prior to coming to Vanier, she had been working as the International Mobility Coordinator for the Fédération des Cégeps since 2009. Her responsibilities included advising the 48 cegeps in the network on internationalization, co-ordinating international missions for CEGEP employees and establishing partnerships with different educational institutions around the world including Mexico, Brazil and France. Throughout her career, she was also a Professor of Sociology at Cégep de Sherbrooke, worked as a consultant for the Institut du Nouveau Monde and sat on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Bureau for International Education.
“The in-depth knowledge of the CEGEP network I have acquired over the years will allow me to implement many innovative local and international projects. I have also established a vast network that includes representatives from technical institutions, universities, foreign governments as well as with local government representatives. These contacts will undoubtedly help me to expand Vanier College’s international offerings. At the same time I am committed to working with my colleagues in order to ensure the application of the Strategic Plan and other College policies as they relate to Continuing Education,” said Anne-Marie Lemay.
