About Us

Digital Technology has revolutionized communications and the training for people who create documents in the business world. Graduates of this program are competent in three main areas: Business Communications, Print Design, and Web Design. Students also take courses in Advertising, Psychology and French.

Graduates acquire the skills necessary to create digital illustration, edit digital photos, publish websites, and lay out documents. In the Business Communications courses students learn to communicate effectively in both written and oral English and French. They produce a variety of documents including reports, manuals, spreadsheets, charts and internal publications.

Print Design

In Print Design students learn principles of design, digital editing, graphic creation, and page layout. They produce brochures, forms, visual identities, training manuals, advertisements, newsletters, posters, and promotional documents. The softwares used include the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection with a focus on Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat & InDesign.

Web Design

In Web Design courses students are introduced to writing for the web, user interfaces, navigation, and usability. They produce digital images, animations, banners, web pages and interactive web sites using HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Flash, ActionScript, and Wordpress.

Internship & Portfolio

In their final semester students in this program do a four-week work internship, and produce a portfolio of professional calibre. MicroMedia offers students the opportunity of completing a semester at an Institut universitaire de technologie or doing their internship in France.
