LAVAL TRANSIT
The Laval Transit Corporation uses three bridges to access Montreal:
Pont Lachapelle (Cartierville Bridge), Pont Ahuntsic (better known as
Pont Viau) and Pont Pie IX.
If you come across:
Pont Lachapelle (Cartierville Bridge) - to Grenet and de Salaberry,
No. 64 bus to Cote-Vertu, walk east on Cote-Vertu to Ste-Croix and then
south on Ste-Croix to Vanier.
Pont Ahuntsic (Pont Viau) - to Metro
Henri Bourassa, take Metro to Sauve, then bus 121 west on Cote-Vertu
to Ste-Croix Ave.; or take Metro to Jean-Talon then Snowdon, transfer
to Line 2 to Cote-Vertu Station.
Pont Pie IX - same as Pont Ahuntsic.
TRAIN
Deux Montagnes to Central Station. Train stops at Cote Vertu and Jules-Poitras.
Take No. 121 bus west on Cote-Vertu to Ste-Croix or you can walk to
Vanier (15 minutes) .
Rigaud/Lakeshore to Windsor Station.
Stops at Vendome. Take Metro to either du College or Cote-Vertu station.
GETTING
TO VANIER BY CAR
FROM DOWNTOWN
North on Decarie Expressway(Rte.15),at the Metropolitan intersection
take Decarie Blvd. north, continue to de l'Eglise, turn right on de
l'Eglise and left on Ste-Croix.
FROM WEST ISLAND
- Trans Canada (Rte. 40) East, exit at Cote-Vertu East, take Cote-Vertu
to Ste-Croix, turn right on Ste-Croix.
- Rte. 20 to Dorval Circle, Cote
de Liesse (Rte. 520) East, exit rue Authier, stay on Authier, right
on Scott, left on Gratton, right on de I'Eglise to Ste-Croix (looks
complicated but it isn't).
FROM AHUNTSIC
Drive west on rue Sauvé. After you pass rue l'Acadie, the street
name changes to Cote Vertu. Turn left on rue Basile-Moreau and drive
straight through to the Vanier campus.
FROM MONTREAL EAST
Metropolitan west, exit rue Deslauriers, follow Ste-Croix sign to Ste-Croix,
north on Ste-Croix to Vanier.
FROM LAVAL
Pont Lachapelle (Cartierville Bridge)
Lachapelle to de Salaberry, east on de Salaberry to O'Brien, south on
O'Brien to Cote-Vertu onto Ste-Croix Ave. to Vanier.
Pont Ahuntsic (Pont Viau) or Pont Pie
IX or Pont Papineau-Leblanc
Take Henri Bourassa west, turn south (left) on O'Brien then onto Ste-Croix
just after Cote-Vertu.
Laurentian Autoroute (Rte. 15)
Exit at Cote-Vertu, continue on Cote-Vertu to Ste-Croix Ave. south (via
Basile Moreau).
FROM SOUTH SHORE
Pont Champlain to Decarie Expressway north, exit on Decarie Blvd. north,
turn right on de I'Eglise to Ste-Croix;
