VANIER STUDENT WINS NATIONAL AND CANADA GAMES WRESTING TITLES

Tim Wadsworth was named by Global TV and the Gazette's as Athlete-Of-The-Week on January 9, 2002. The honour was bestowed as a result of his recent national wrestling title as well as his gold medal performance in last summer's Canada Games. Coached by preeminent national wrestling guru and Vanier teacher Victor Zilberman, Tim is a first-year student participating in the Sports Études Program. He has been wrestling competitively since he was 12, reaching the national finals at age 14.

NEW UPDATE! On December 11th, 2002, we received word that Tim, along with fellow Vanier wrestler Jamie Mancini, had won first place in their respective weight divisions at the Quebec Open. (more to come...)
