HOWARD SIROKY HONOURED WITH INVITATION
TO PARTICIPATE IN NFB-AFFILIATED PROJECT

January 30, 2005

This is a first for a Vanier student and is to the credit of Vanier as well as to Howard's hard work in the field of documentary filmmaking. His theme will be on "street kids". The CAMT Department will be monitoring the project but the NFB will provide production advice and coordination. Howard currently works as a monitor in the CAMT Media Lab

You can find out more about Howard's film work and see a clip from his film "Welcome to the Streets" on his website.

THE DOC SHOP:
The Doc Shop is an international documentary market running concurrently to the festival. The facility includes an on-demand videotheque (with multiple screening stations) and a video library of approximately 1200 documentaries.

The Doc Shop provides documentary filmmakers an ideal opportunity to promote their work to Hot Docs' international delegation of festival programmers, distributors, commissioning editors and other documentary buyers. Hot Docs' entry fees for submitting documentaries to the festival entitles entrants to complimentary registration of their films in The Doc Shop market.

Visit the Doc Shop website.
