VANIER SCIENCE FAIR 2002 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Vanier Science Fair 2002 announced the winners on February 14th. The five winning exhibits in three categories won certificates of excellence as well as cash prizes. First place exhibits won $60.00 while second place exhibits won $50.00. This first Science Fair in many years at Vanier serves as an initiative to encourage students to get involved in Sciences. Sciences are fun; once you get involved, you become passionate, you learn, you think and you create! Three of the winning exhibits moved on to the Bell Montreal Regional Science Fair, which was held at Vanier from March 17-19th. See photos from the fair of exhibitors and main winners.
While exhibitors will work on improving their presentations and building up more interesting booths, we think the ideas were great! These students should be looked as pioneers! Congratulations to all the participants and many thanks to the teachers that were involved! Special thanks go to contest organizers Fred Mayer and Sylvie Tardif. Thanks also to all the people from the Office of the Dean of Science & General Studies for their support.
