JABARI ARTHUR
Amateur Athlete Of The Week

Vanier's star quarterback Jabari Arthur was selected by The Montreal Gazette and Global TV as their Athlete of the Week for November 15th, 2001. Jabari, who was the subject of an article in the Gazette, comes in at an impressive 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds. He has led the football Cheetahs to a highly successful regular season. Due to an administrative snafu, the Cheetahs had one of their players declared ineligible, causing them to forfeit their first four victories. Otherwise, the Cheetahs would have had a perfect 10-0 record. Congratulations, Jabari!

UPDATE: Jabari received two major awards at the CEGEP Football Awards Ceremony held January 19, 2002 in Lennoxville. Read whole story

FURTHER UPDATE: Jabari went as one of the 2 QB's on Team Canada's entry in the World Junior Football Championships held as part of the Super Bowl festivities in New Orleans on February 2, 2002. (After reaching the finals against Team USA, they lost a close 14-12 decision.)
