The 17th running of
the Course Saint-Laurent took place on Sunday, April 26th as
part of the Greater Montreal Running Circuit, which has been in action for over 25 years.
It is one of a series of eleven races held throughout
the year in the greater Montreal area and surrounding areas. (For more info, see: Circuit Endurance)
The Vanier team finished in 4th place out of 18 groups entered.
The Saint Laurent Chamber of Commerce
organized the competition. |
The team would
like to especially thank the organizing coach for Vanier's Running Team Mauro Ielovcich (seen at right) for all his help in getting the event off of the ground.
Our thanks also go to Linda Macpherson for her help in getting us those great looking Vanier racing shirts.
Vanier College
is pleased to support this event and we look forward to fielding a team in next year's race as well. |

OTHER PHOTOS FROM THE RACE

Team members Denis, Bachar, Carolyn, Jim and Quentin cross their respective finish lines.

Although not on Vanier's official team, Alex Borja still ran a great 2KM race for us.
We see him above finishing with a very respectable
time of 9:06. Way to go, Alex!

Quentin Van Ginhoven gives it his all during the 10KM race.

Jim Fraser makes it look so easy, but then again, he is a seasoned marathon runner.
Read an article written in
2003 about when Jim ran the Boston Marathon with his son.
