Maria Di Feo Gives Presentation on Recent Project with
Vanier College, McGill University and Health Canada

During the spring of 2007, three third year nursing students did a one
month clinical placement in Ste-Agathe des Monts at the CSSS de
Sommets's acute care hospital. The stage was organised and supervised
by Maria Di Feo (left).

She presented "A Successful Nursing Stage: Vanier College and CSSS de Sommets" at a recent Montreal conference entitled "Creating Sustainable Partnerships: Conditions for Success".

This project stems from the Nursing Department's participation in the Training and Human Resources Development Project funded by Health Canada and administered by McGill University.

The project's goal is to “ensure that English-speaking clients receive effective communication in their language from the health and social services professionals serving their needs, and to increase the number of English-speaking professionals working in the health and social services system.”
