BLACK HISTORY MONTH ACTIVITIES FOR 2001:

February 20th in the Amphitheatre - The movie "Shaft" will be shown at 10:00, 12:00, 2:00 & 4:00. Presented by the V.C.S.A.

February 21st in the Student Mall 12:00 to 1:00 - "Ng'oma Ndi Kubvina" This performance uses the deep rooted traditions of the Ivory Coast, Ghana and Malawi as its foundation to an electrifying dance piece driven by modern African, Caribbean and South American rhythms.


February 21st in the Amphitheatre from 3:30 to 4:30 - "Nthano" In the age old tradition of African storytelling, you will meet the young hero, Tembo, as he embarks on his greatest adventure to outwit the evil Mfiti and ultimately conquer his fears. This dynamic and entertaining performance incorporates elements of song and drums to help recreate a story that appeals to a diversified audience.

February 21st in the Auditorium from 12:00 to 1:00 - Don't miss comedian Jocko, who is sure to bring a smile to your face.
