Liberal Arts Students' Testimonials

I can't think of a program which better prepares a student for university. One of the greatest things I have learned from Liberal Arts is that no single discipline exists on its own; every subject relates to the others in the curriculum. The program therefore provides students with a very broad base of knowledge. I don't think I could say enough good things about this program.

A closely knit community of teachers and students, the Liberal Arts program at Vanier made for a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere in which to learn. I have met some of the best human beings in this program. Always willing and available to help and motivate, and always expressing an earnest interest in us and our successes, they epitomize for me what real, dedicated teachers should be...Without the Liberal Arts program, I believe that my university education would not have been the enriching and fulfilling experience it has been.

At Vanier, I was given the choice and freedom to discover new interests as well as to enrich existing ones. As a student of the Liberal Arts program, I was impressed by the diverse range of subject matter and the close-knit comfortable atmosphere.

Being a part of the Liberal Arts program was a rewarding and truly unique experience. The atmosphere created by the teachers is comfortable and friendly. The program offers a well-rounded education and I feel it prepared me very well for university on an academic and personal level.

Some things that I like about our Liberal Arts Program are the faculty, the sense of community and the courses that this program has to offer. Liberal Arts is a small community so one can be sure that, by the end of the first semester, all students will have met each other. There are BBQs and sports activities to attend together too. The teachers know the students by name and enjoy teaching their courses. There is enthousiasm to learn from the students and to teach from the teachers.
