Exercise 11.2: Fill in the gaps.

It is April 3, 1961, and NASA is holding a press conference. John Glenn was the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth. He did this on February 20, 1962. Journalist: Mr. Glenn, when are you going to space?

John Glenn: Yes, and be even more worried a few months from now, I'm sure!

Journalist: Do you think Americans will call you a hero when you get back?

John Glenn: I don’t know if be a hero, but I hope cross their fingers for me.

Journalist: I'm sure they will, Mr. Glenn. Are you nervous at all?

John Glenn: Not right now, but I’m sure be nervous enough when they start counting down to blast-off. That’s all for today. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
