Discover Montreal ... in English!

English Language Walking Tours

The purpose of the course is to combine learning English and discovering the many interesting parts of Montreal.  On any given trip the students will learn vocabulary related to the historical and cultural elements of the area they are visiting.  This also provides an opportunity to practice conversation in a more dynamic environment.

Levels of English:  Mixed Levels (not recommended for true beginners)

Each tour comprises two parts:

Class time

The students are introduced to the destination through a variety of media including newspaper articles, slides, short stories and video clips.  In class they will learn the necessary travel and descriptive vocabulary needed for the trip.

On the tour

The students will visit the given destination and get a chance to experience firsthand the material they learned in class.  On the trip they will be encouraged to ask questions and share observations.  They may also be required to find new information by going on a treasure hunt or other fun activities.

Optional activity at the end of the tour

At the end of the tour, the students can stop for coffee or a light meal to have a chance to socialize and practice English conversation.

Group size maximum 15 people
