The success of our student-centered English courses relies on the principle that communicating is more than just words. We offer four part-time courses in English communication depending each students’ objectives:

1. English Oral Communication
2. English Written Communication & Grammar 
3. Pronunciation Workshop
4. English for Professionals

English Oral Communication

This English course follows an interactive and dynamic method, which results in learners really speaking in English. This success towards speaking begins in small groups allowing each learner to maximize his or her talking time. Over the 8 weeks, learners practise various speaking skills: conversation and tasks related to everyday and professional contexts.

Participants who complete this course, from Beginner to Advanced, gain the confidence and skills to engage in exchanges both at and away from work.

English Written Communication & Grammar

This English course in Written Communication and Grammar course gives learners the skills to write effectively with colleagues, friends and clients. In each level, the grammar points are presented, explained and practised in correspondence in order to accomplish daily and creative writing tasks.

This course is not recommended for beginners.

Pronunciation Workshop

This workshop pronunciation course helps learners refine their communication. In achieving this goal, participants will work on sounds, accentuation, intonation and rhythm. To apply this knowledge, learners will practice these phonetic concepts in everyday and work contexts through various exercises. In addition to oral practice, students will learn nonverbal communication cues particular to North America. Above all, this course helps students develop clear speech.

English for Professionals

Do you lack confidence to speak in English with customers or colleagues? Do you worry about how clear and effective your notes, emails and letters are? Well, our English for Professionals course will help you improve your Canadian workplace communication.

The 45-course hours includes working on essential interpersonal, speaking and writing skills. You will learn how to interpret and respond to cultural communication, host or contribute in meetings, answer questions effectively and write persuasive correspondence.

As this communication course focuses on using English workplace, learners should at least be of high-intermediate proficiency.

Language Training: An attestation is received at the end of each of our non-credit course provided that students attend class regularly.
