Ariel Poupart
My name is Ariel Poupart, I am attending my third semester at Vanier in communications studies. I am really passionate about cinema and photography as an art form. Seeing the world trough a different perception is a thing that I quite enjoy. I also like to express myself trough those mediums, and I think that going to Nicaragua is a great opportunity for me to take photographs in the purpose of transmitting a message trough them. I am really excited about going to Nicaragua. I am expecting to see and to learn about their living styles, their cultures and their traditions. I hope to come back from that trip with plenty of information that I can share with other students.

Magdalena Martinez
Hi! My name is Magdalena Martinez and I'm an 18 years old second year student at Vanier College. I am currently in the International Studies Major program and I love most of the Social Sciences. My interests are broad, but I like things such as anthropology, human rights issues, reading and writing, as well as music. I am very exited about going to Nicaragua and getting to know more about their culture and their history. I am sure that this experience will change my worldviews, as well as give me a lot of knowledge about the different issues in the world. I also hope it will help me to discover a little bit more about what I will like to do for my future career.

Valerie Cooper
My name is Valerie Cooper and I am currently in my first year at Vanier College. I have done much traveling in the past, but have never been to a tropical country. I am looking very forward to the trip to Nicaragua, where we'll be learning so much of their culture by having the opportunity to be guests in the local families' homes. For me, reading about Nicaragua from a book is a wonderful introduction to the country, but having the chance to get a hands-on-experience is so much more rewarding. I already know that this trip will be a life-changing experience and I can't wait to share my discoveries with everyone else!

Karen Vo Hoang
My name is Karen Vo Hoang and I am in my second year in the Honour's Health Science program at Vanier College. I love the sciences and wish to one day become a genetic engineer. Besides the sciences, I enjoy reading, painting, eating and traveling. I believe travelling is one of the best ways to learn and that this study trip will be a great opportunity for me to see the world from a different perspective. What makes this trip a once in a lifetime experience is the chance to be fully integrated in a different culture. I absolutely can't wait to go to Nicaragua and share with other students my experiences from this foreign place.
