2012 Study Project
Meet the students
Explore China
Experience Chinese society. Observe the daily life of Chinese people. Understand the Chinese culture and the ways in which it is different from the Canadian culture. This trip allows you to open your mind to new perspectives and to learn a new language.
Activities
During this 16-day trip, you will visit Beijing, the capital, Qufu, the birth place of Confucius, and Shanghai, the biggest city in China. Activities include visiting historical and cultural sites, observing and experiencing life in China and communicating with students from our partner university. The students will get to learn about the Chinese language, history, philosophy, arts, food and society. They will be able to understand the differences between Eastern and Western Cultures.
Eligibility
- Must be in good academic standing and maintain this level of academic achievement until departure.
- Must be mature, independent, self-directed, flexible, and willing to adapt to different living conditions.
- Must agree to commit to all pre-departure sessions (4-6 sessions).
Cost
The Cost of the trip is estimated at $3500. The International Education Office will also help with fundraising.

All candidates who meet the aforementioned criteria will be asked to attend an interview.
