Applications to conduct any research at the College, with the exception of projects listed below, should be addressed to the PSI Office by completing the Application to Conduct Research and Consent Form.
Applications will be evaluated on two different aspects :
- Feasiblity in terms of Vanier resources needed
- Research Ethics by Vanier Research Ethics Board
Research projects that are exempt from applying to the PSI Office:
• In-class research projects conducted under the supervision of the teacher – the PSI Office and the Research Ethics Board are available to provide support and guidance for teachers supervising in-class projects as required
• Internal institutional evaluations, for example, program evaluations – these processes are still required to adhere to the highest ethical standards as expected of other forms of research.
Applications must be submitted to the Research Ethics Board at least two weeks prior to the meeting date.
