Vanier College wireless Internet access
- View your wireless networks.
- Select the VC-Public wireless network and connect to it.
- Open your browser and go to any web page. You will be redirected to the Vanier College wireless portal page.
- Once your portal page appears, log in using the instructions below.
Login for students enrolled in credit courses
Username: The letter “e” followed by your student ID number.
Example: e1234567
Password: “van” followed by your birthday in the following format: mmddyy
For example, type van122892 if your birthday is the 28th December, 1992.
Login for students enrolled in non credit courses (Lifeskills, Language School, etc.)
Username: The letters “n” followed by your student ID number.
Example: n1234567
Password: “van” followed by your birthday in the following format: mmddyy
For example, type van122892 if your birthday is the 28th December, 1992.
Troubleshooting your wireless connection
Retype your username and password
You may have mistyped your username and / or password. Try them again.
Remember to enter your birthday in the MMDDYY format!
Go to the test page to verify your login credentials
If you still cannot login on your computer, go to another computer with Internet access and type in the following URL:
http://www.vaniercollege.qc.ca/techsupport/wlantest.php
This test page allows you to test your username and password. You can use any computer with Internet access to do this.
If you are able to login to the test page, your personal computer may have a problem.
If the test page informs you that your account has been found, but that you are unable to login, you have mistyped your password. Your username is correct.
If the test page informs you that your account has not been found, either:
- you have mistyped your username and / or your password.
OR
- your wireless account has not have been created yet. Try to login again in a few days.
