Vanier College holds a single graduation ceremony in June of each year. Graduates from the previous Summer, Autumn and Winter semesters are invited to attend this ceremony that takes place in June.
This is a lovely ceremony, a time for graduating students to formally say good bye to Vanier ceremonially and personally as many teachers and staff are present. It is also a time for Vanier College to celebrate the success of graduating students and to permit parents, relatives and friends to honour their graduates.
There is a charge of $80 to attend the ceremony which covers the ceremony, gown rental, hat (yours to keep), souvenir certificate and a wine reception.
If you have completed the graduation requirements for your DCS (DEC) or ACS (AEC) or are a potential graduate you will receive a notification postcard by mail as well as an invitation on your Omnivox by mid-April. There is an online form that you must complete and submit if you are planning to attend the ceremony. Your grad fee of $80 is payable only through your Omnivox.
Please note: Students who are registering for summer courses in order to graduate may still attend their June Graduation Ceremony by going to Academic Advising in room A-201 and requesting a confirmation sheet stating that you are indeed a potential summer graduate. After seeing your Advisor, students must take the confirmation sheet to your respective Dean’s office by May 12, 2017.
If approved and, if there is still space, you will receive an invitation to the graduation ceremony.
