A special concert bringing together the Vanier Choir (82 choristers), the McGill Conservatory Adult Choir (28 choristers) and the Joseph-François-Perrault Symphony Orchestra (78 instrumentalists) will be presented on Thursday, December 6th at 7:30 p.m. at Église St. Laurent.
The stunning poster for the event was designed by Jing jing Pascua, a student in Joan Fee Taylor’s class in the Micromedia program.
The evening will begin with the JFP Orchestra performing music by Berlioz, Tchaikovsky, Bizet and Holst conducted by Richard Charron. The second part will be devoted to the music of John Rutter, his Dancing Day for treble voices and harp (Valérie Milot) and the Magnificat for choir and orchestra featuring Stephanie Di Paolo, Emilie Majeau and Erin Berger (sopranos), Sarah Pearson (mezzo-soprano), and Rebecca Young (contralto). Erica Phare, the director of the Vanier Choir and the McGill Conservatory Adult choir will conduct the works by Rutter.
