France Mailly "The Life of a Forensic Scientist: Myths and Realities” France Mailly will present an overview of the field of forensic science which covers a number of disciplines and techniques. An emphasis will be placed on forensic biology and DNA analysis. The speaker will describe her own path into the field as well as the nature of her work. Some of the tasks, challenges and ethical issues facing the forensic scientist will be discussed. Finally, the contrast between CSI-type TV series and real life will be outlined. | |
