Julie Lafontaine Advances to Canada's Got Talent Finals
Congratulations to Julie Lafontaine, former Vanier Music student (and mother of a current Vanier Music student). She advanced on Tuesday April 3rd to the finals of the TV series Canada's Got Talent. (She is also the sister of Denis Lafontaine who works in the N-215 I.T. Centre.)
Julie has been wowing audiences and judges alike with her amazing voice, singing well-known (and difficult!) operatic arias. After her appearance in the first episode of the semi-finals on April 2nd, the judges selected her to advance to the finals! There will be 12 acts vying for the first-place prize which includes $100,000 in cash and a $100,000 sports car. Coincidentally for Julie, the finals will air on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13th on CITY-TV from 8-10PM.
The winner is the one who receives the most votes, so we invite you to watch AND to please vote after the show. Each person can vote up to 10 times from each of 5 platforms (all explained on http://www.CanadasGotTalent.com/vote ).
You can vote anytime after the finals on Sunday between 10 pm and 2 am Eastern time. The winner will be announced on the results show which will be broadcast the next day on Monday, May 14th at 7:00 PM.
