English Symposium: Writing Experiences of the Diaspora

Wednesday, October 30, 2013
14:00 to 15:30

In contemporary usage, the term “Diaspora” refers to peoples who are living in regions away from their original homeland for a variety of reasons. Join Montreal-based diasporic writers Dimitri Nasrallah and Veena Gokhale in a discussion of their work and how life as an immigrant has impacted their writing.  Dimitri will read from his 2011 novel Niko and Veena from her 2013 short story collection Bombay Wali and Other Stories.
