Gerry
St-Pierre: Running for Vanier |
Gerry St-Pierre,
staff member at Vanier College, trains for Sunday's race at Vanier's
Sports-Complex. After running the event for the past four years,
Gerry says it is the challenge, sense of accomplishment and team
camaraderie that keeps him coming back.
Vanier fielded a
team of four runners running a 1km, 2 km, 5km and a 10 km course,
drawn from staff, faculty and administrators. |
The Vanier College
team came first amongst eleven teams from various companies and
organizations based in the St. Laurent area. The St. Laurent
Chamber of Commerce organized the competition. Our team would
like to thank the College's Visibility Committee for sponsoring
them at this event. Team members Mauro Ielovcich (1km), Jim Munro
(2 km), Jim Fraser (5 km) and Gerry St. Pierre (10 km) all maintain
that based on their experiences at this race, they are definitely
enthusiastic about representing Vanier at similar events in the
future. Vanier College is pleased to support this event for the
fourth year in a row. |
