DEP-DEC Project: Recognition of credits from DEP Computing Support 5729
The Computer Science Technology program 420.AA has been designed and written in the context of a project to harmonize vocational and technical programs. As a result, it has been harmonized with the vocational education program, Computing Support 5729, offered at Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board Adult Education.
Harmonization optimizes students’ progress in their training by making it easier for them to go from one program to another or from one level of education to another without duplication of learning content.
Some skills acquired during the Computing Support 5729 DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) are recognized as equivalent to those acquired in the DEC 420.AA (Diplôme d’études collégiales).
Computing Support 5729 DEP students reduce their college studies by 615 hours when registering in the Vanier Computer Science Technology program.
