Professional INTERESTS

• Dan Stefik teaches courses in film, media, and visual arts at the Cegep level, in addition to teaching occasionally at the University level in Film Studies. Initially, he obtained his Bachelor degree in Administration (Concordia University) but eventually moved on to complete a degree in Fine Arts as well (Film Studies). He continued his studies at the Graduate level, and obtained his Masters in Film Studies and started teaching thereafter.

• His fields of interest lie in French Cinema, and Realism in its many incarnations, but he is committed to other disciplines including philosophy and psychology, especially as they pertain to the cinema. He is also a freelance writer, his last contribution dating the Winter of 2008 in an issue of Cineaction.
