  • The 7th annual inter-collegial marketing case competition will be held February 10th – 12th , 2012, at the Aeroport de Montreal Courtyard Marriott Hotel.
  • Vanier College is the founder, host and organizer of this pan-Canadian competition and related social and educational events.
  • David Moscovitz, Coordinator Business Administration Program, is the Vanier College contact as Coordinator in Chief of the 2012 competition.
  • The 2-day formal competition will have in attendance invited guests from business, industry, education, the media and, of course, family members and supporters of the participants.
  • The competition includes a Gala Banquet (200 people) Saturday February 11th, 2012 for participating teams, coaches, donors, and members of the Montreal business and educational community. At this banquet the finalists will be announced and BDC participation certificates awarded.
  • After the finals competition on Sunday, the winners will be announced at a closing luncheon and team members presented with plaques.
  • Competing teams receive breakfasts, lunches and the Gala Banquet and Introduction reception as part of the competition experience. Formal portraits of each team and a compilation DVD of the completion including the team’s presentations and those of the winning teams are also supplied to each college.
  • Participation is by invitation and is restricted to career and technical students. There is no registration fee.
  • The competition adheres to strict rules of participation, process and procedure as commonly used at university marketing case competitions. These rules are promulgated to the participating Colleges beforehand. Judging of the competition is by a panel of invited experts from business, industry and education.
  • The competition and cases will be in either or both of the official languages as requested by the competing college beforehand.
