Malawi Study Trip 2009
7 Vanier students participated in a study trip to Malawi, Africa, in the summer 2009. The study trip focused on the need for universal primary education in the developing world, and specifically, access to education in sub-Saharan Africa. During their stay in Malawi, the students offered support in 3 schools, a primary school, a secondary school, and a school for visually impaired children. Their experiences helped the students learn about the strengths and challenges of the Malawian education system as well as the specific importance of educating girls.
