Biophysics (360-HTA-VA)

Biophysics is a Science option course where students use physics to study human anatomy and physiology. 

  • Ideal for students interested in physiotherapy, exercise science, medicine, dentistry or other health professions.

Possible topics include:
  • Use EEGs to measure brain waves of subjects under the influence of caffeine or exercise.
  • Design your own experiments to see how to influence heart rate, muscle performance and homeostasis.
  • Learn about radiation, radiation therapy, and medical imaging.
  • We cover from the general (should you be afraid of your cellphone?) to the very specific (Ideal frequencies for an ultrasound).
