At a ceremony held in the Vanier College Auditorium, 97 students received accolades for the high academic standards they are bringing to Vanier. These students received awards of $100 to $250 for achieving the highest academic averages of all applicants to Vanier this year. Kathy Malas, with the highest average of 96.2%, won a special prize of $500. The ceremony, hosted by Academic Dean Peter Ross (left) was preceded with music provided by a trio from the Vanier Music Department. Afterwards, a sumptuous buffet was offered to the winners as well as their guests.
