On May 3rd, Andrei Moskvitch, a first year Science student, took on the challenge of playing 12 players simultaneously in an Extreme Chess match. As players were defeated, others replaced them. Of the 16 games Andrei played, he won 11 and drew 2. The event lasted close to three hours and was an Extreme success! Andrei Moskvitch ranked 26th in the World in Speed Chess at the Championships in Spain in October 1999. He also won the Best Player of the Tournament Award at the 26th Intercollegiate Chess Championship.
