Vanier College continued the tradition of providing its outgoing graduates a ceremony to truly remember. The locale this time was the beautiful Salle Claude Champagne on the campus of l'Université de Montréal. After entering the hall to the strains of "Pomp and Circumstance" played by the Vanier College Stage Band, the graduates sang "O Canada" lead by vocal soloist Sarah Andrade.
The evening's Master of Ceremonies was Vanier Alumnus Pablo Carrera. He introduced speeches from Director General Michael Macchiagodena and Chaiman of the Board of Directors William Hodges. The recipients of this year's Teaching Excellence awards, Nancy Wargny and Janice Clarini, were followed by the Guest Speaker, Vanier Alumnus David Lisbona, a lawyer with Spiegel Sohmer.
After the presentation of the Graduates as well as the Academic and Student Life Award recipients, the night was concluded with the Valedictorian Address by the Governor General's Award winner Jonathan Brown and a swinging presentation of the song "The Best Is Yet To Come" featuring soloist Sarah Andrade, accompanied by the Vanier College Stage Band under the direction of Jocelyn Couture.
We invite you now to view some photos taken at the ceremony.
