The Learning Centre's Presents Its Annual
Pumpkin Carving Contest 1999

By popular demand, The Learning Centre celebrated Hallowe'en on October 29. First, our "Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin" contest was back with this year's pumpkin weighing in at 36 pounds, a heavy weight for our prize winner, Stefanos Minitsios, to carry off. Then, throughout the day, 14 teams of students worked on their ghoulish designs for their pumpkins. By 4:00 p.m. our judges, TLC Assistants, were ready to announce their winners:

First place: Rosette and Rosalynn Bautista

Second place: Tanya Ruel

Third place: Norcelo Agtarap

Honourable Mentions: Dian Pacifico, Julia and Maria Folco,
Miriam Gaudelli and Christina De Sousa

This contest brings out marvelous creativity and craftsmanship amongst our students. In addition, students met other students, newcomers were introduced to the centre, and a great time was had by all.

We now invite you to view some photographs taken at the contest by
Vanier Business Administration student Julie Chenevert:
