Graduation Ceremonies were held this year at Place Des Arts on June 16, 1999. Among the highlights of this year's proceedings were inspirational speeches by Valedictorian and winner of the Governor General's Award, Myriam Abikhzer as well as by Guest Speaker Robert Hunger, Vanier Alumnus and current Vice President and Director of Nesbitt-Burns.

Director General Michael Macchiagodena presented The Vanier College Teaching Excellence Award to Anthropology and Humanities teacher, Carolyn Dellah.

After the presentation of the graduates, audience members were entertained by The Greater Montreal Chapter Of Barbershoppers who performed "If You Had All The World And Its Gold".

Following the presentation of the Academic and Student Life Awards, The Vanier College Stage Band under the direction of Joe Sullivan performed Bette Midler's "From A Distance" featuring vocal soloist Mariane Lemieux.

We invite you now to view a selection of about 40 photos that were taken at the event. If you are downloading this page from a telephone modem, be prepared for a 5 minute wait for all the pictures to download. Files in this page total about 600k.
