On Sunday, March 28th,
1999, the Faculty Of Science and General Studies held its annual
Science Orientation session for new students. Attending participants
learned more about Vanier, its science programs and people, its
facilities and their place in it. The Orientation was designed
to make them feel at home. The program included:
A brief overview of the science
program and a special presentation by Dr. Joe Schwarcz.
Tours
of laboratories and facilities, guided by Vanier students.
Meetings
with faculty and students.
A
look at college student life with tips from Vanier students on
how to adapt smoothly and successfully.
Information
on College services useful for studies at Vanier.
The program included
a stop for refreshments.
